Miller built-out the interior of OneBlood’s laboratory and distribution center at their Fort Lauderdale Headquarters. The laboratory consists of 21,500 square feet of reference labs, distribution center, and stem cell processing. The facility is designed to receive and process donated blood to distribute to local area hospitals and treatment centers. It is also responsible for stocking the OneBlood Community Donation Buses.

Project features include:

  • Complete South Florida office headquarters build-out
  • Stem Cell Processing Workstations: equipped with incubators, extraction equipment, and mobile workstations
  • Reference Lab Workstations: Eequipped with lab research refrigerators/freezers, echo machines, LN2 tanks, technician workstations, and MCP testing
  • Cryogenic Rooms: equipped with controlled rate freezers, and incubators
  • Incubator Room: used for the storage of temperature-sensitive items
  • Irradiator Room: designed and specified to meet Department of Homeland Security requirements (i.e. optic scanners, keypad entry, high abuse drywall)
  • Distribution Area: designated for the staging and stocking of OneBlood donation bus
  • Liquid Nitrogen Tank: 2,000 gallons
  • -80 Degree Celsius Freezer: equipped with isolation cages
  • High Density Filing System
