One Door East Restaurant FT. LAUDERDALE, FL

The Miller Special Projects Group transformed a former auto repair facility into the stylish tapas restaurant, where ample use of reclaimed wood brings the interior’s sleek metal and tile finishes a warm, rustic feel. The striking interior design garnered attention and won an award for Architectural Woodwork. The restaurant is adjacent to the upscale Valentino’s fine dining restaurant, which remained open throughout construction. To avoid affecting their daily operations, crews installed a temporary barrier. Since both restaurants would be under one roof, adding a full fire sprinkler system was required. That meant concealing pipes and closely coordinating work in the Valentino’s space to eliminate any impact on the restaurant’s schedule.
