Halsey Historical Restoration West Palm Beach, FL

The Miller Special Projects Group completed the complex exterior restoration of Halsey Place, bringing the 94-year-old Downtown West Palm Beach landmark back to its design roots. Although it regained its authentic commercial mission revival look, the renovated façade has hurricane impact glass and is upgraded to current code. In removing the Chattahoochee façade, the team had to encapsulate, monitor and remove lead paint from the aging exterior. Craftsmen worked from scaffolding to recreate the exterior stucco finish by hand. Safety was a prime consideration and the team ensured pedestrian and tenant safety with a walkway built under scaffolding that stretched across the building’s frontage. The ground-floor office tenants remained operational throughout the project and the team strategically minimized disruptions.
