Fisher Island Projects FISHER ISLAND, FL
Fisher Island Spa & Fitness Center
Architect, BC Architects Size: 29,100 SF
A major renovation and expansion, the facility features luxurious lobby and treatment areas, a state-of-the-art fitness facility and six new pools, including spa, cold plunge, tranquility and Roman bath pools, as well as a refinished lap pool. For this complex mechanical, engineering and plumbing challenge, creating a digital model of the entire project prior to construction proved a great advantage. Miller’s design and construction team used BIM technology to achieve efficiencies in renovating and expanding the building. Since access to the island is only by barge or ferry, Miller’s precise staging of deliveries to the tight site was essential.
The Salon at Fisher Island
Architect, BC Architects Size: 3,643 SF
Three miles off Miami’s coast, Miller added sparkle to the jewel-like Fisher Island Club with the construction of the new salon. This upscale international salon offers discerning clients a relaxed, open setting designed with an urban feel. Craftsmen and all materials were transported by barge from Miami to the island, which is accessible only by boat or helicopter.
The Links’ Clubhouse & The Racquet Club
Architect, Roger Piper Architect Size: 3,626 – 6,000 SF
After stripping back the golf clubhouse interior, the project team built out the space with luxurious millwork and natural stone finishes. The new tiled roof complements the Club’s historic, 1920s-era design. The interior flows from high-ceilinged lobby, pro shop and dining room to the roofed waterfront dining patio. The kitchen area was also renovated for smoother work flow in limited space. The Racquet Club remained in full operation throughout the interior renovation and now features extensive millwork and other high-end finishes throughout its pro shop and conference facilities. Baths and locker room areas were built out in advance to minimize any inconvenience to members and guests.
Both The Links and The Racquet Club are nationally top-ranked amenities at Fisher Island Club.

The exteriors were kept true to the original Spanish architecture. The team also refurbished the picturesque Spanish-style Junior Suites cottages’ exteriors, from window and wrought iron trim to decking and Jacuzzis. Interiors were gutted and fully remodeled with intensive “five-star” luxury finishes.
