The complex 12-month scope of work was completed in just 7 months. This major interior renovation within a portion of main building built in 1954, included massive IT cable relocation and demolition of two existing treatment vaults. Installing an 18,000 lb. state-of-the-art MRI machine was a particular challenge because the floor could not support the weight and had to be shored from below. Several hallways and other areas also needed to be altered to accommodate moving the machine. The completed facility offers a dedicated entrance steps away from the hospital’s main entry, with inviting finishes in reception and waiting areas that enhance patient comfort.
