Miller Launches Build Of Two New Class A Industrial Buildings at Beacon Lakes Industrial Park

Miller Construction Company has launched construction of two new modern logistics facilities totaling 224,000 square feet for owner/developer Prologis (NYSE:PLD) at Beacon Lakes Industrial park in Miami’s Airport West/Doral submarket.

Underway on an aggressive schedule, Miller’s construction of Beacon Lakes Building 1 and Building 3 is scheduled for completion in first-quarter 2019. Located immediately west of the Telemundo headquarters facility in Beacon Lakes, the 94,099-square-foot Building 1 will provide additional space for the broadcasting network, which has pre-leased the entire building for warehousing and set production.

The 130,000-square-foot Building 3 is the latest Class A spec warehouse/distribution building within global logistics real estate leader Prologis’ Beacon Lakes Industrial Park. The new building will offer 32-foot clear height ceiling, spacious truck bays and energy-saving LED lighting.

“Speed to market is critical in today’s high-demand industrial market,” said Brian Sudduth, Miller Construction Company president. “With an aggressive timeline to deliver both buildings in early 2019, our project teams are streamlining the build while keeping safety top of mind and the focus squarely on quality.” Miller’s crews draw on decades of experience creating over four million square feet of industrial space.

Located at Florida’s Turnpike and the Dolphin Expressway, Beacon Lakes Industrial Park provides easy access to Miami International Airport and PortMiami, plus nearby shops and restaurants. With more than 2 million square feet of space already completed, the business park’s 478-acre master plan calls for 4.6 million square feet at build-out.
