Construction Association of South Florida Names Jeff Slade to Its Executive Board

FORT LAUDERDALE,Fla.– The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) has appointed Miller Construction Company Vice President Jeff Slade to the executive board of directors of the tri-county, non-profit building industry organization.

Slade, who oversees Miller Construction Company operations, client relationships and talent recruiting, currently serves as CASF’s secretary/treasurer. He also co-chairs the association’s annual Craftsmanship Awards and founded and chairs the group’s Digital Communications/Technology Committee. He has been a member of the CASF Board of Directors since 2005 and has made particular impact in identifying and building leadership skills in the South Florida Construction Industry’s next generation. He founded its Young Leaders Committee for construction professionals under age 35, and has chaired the Youth Education Committee.

“Jeff takes an active role in keeping CASF’s traditions strong through his leadership in the annual Craftsmanship Awards, while advancing the association’s use of technology and online communications for the Digital Age,” said CASF Executive Vice President John Siegle.

Also an active leader in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Slade is a founding member of that organization’s Generals Club. Comprised of senior-level construction industry executives, the Generals Club introduces Boys & Girls Clubs members to the wide range of career opportunities in the construction industry.  Slade has been a key organizer and volunteer for the Boys & Girls Clubs’ annual Construction Career Day for teens.

Slade joined Miller in 1998 and is also active with the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, the Construction Executives Association and the U.S. Green Building Council. He is a graduate of theUniversityofFlorida’s M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction.

With more than 500 members, the Construction Association of South Florida focuses on improving the interests and welfare of the construction industry throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
